Fund-raising alumni welcomes new Singapore Universities Trust

SMU alumni Anthony Chang (25 years old), who chairs the Senior Class Gift Committee 2010, shared that they started fund-raising from April this year.  Some alumni resisted giving back because they felt the university had enough financial resources or they were unsure of where the contributions would be channelled towards.  He pointed out that most hoped the donations would go towards helping needy students and that scholarships can be set up, through the donations, to help students with financial hardship.
