Big drive to ease pressure on trains

The government will spend some $60 billion over the next decade to double Singapore's rail network and will add more trains to ease overcrowding, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said yesterday. Satisfaction with Singapore's trains and buses has fallen over the past year, as shown by the recent customer satisfaction index published by SMU's Institute of Service Excellence.
