6 SMU students complete a 2,010 km journey on bicycle

In line with the Youth Olympic Games as well as SMU's 10 th anniversary, a group of six SMU students rode their bicycles from Phuket, through Penang, Malacca and Kukup before reaching Singapore on 14 Aug, which coincided with the opening of the YOG. The team covered 2,010km in this expedition. Team member Kelvin Liew said they were glad to arrive safely as this was an extreme challenge. The students also took the opportunity on their journey to spread the knowledge of safe cycling in the hope of reducing traffic accidents involving cyclists.
