Political observer: what happens on a rainy day?

Assistant Professor Eugene Tan expressed concern over the findings of the recent study released by the Institute of Policy Studies. He said: ?Singaporeans are proudest of the country's economy. Should the country not perform well economically one day, does it mean Singaporeans will feel less proud?? He added: ?Singaporeans with higher social and economic status benefit the most from the nation's policies. However, their ties with the country are the weakest. Does this also mean that they will be the first to leave Singapore when the country takes a downturn??
