Enrollment is down for those taking up Chinese Language elective programme but not the passion

From 237 students who were enrolled in the programme in 2005, the number has fallen to 190 today. There are fewer local students who take up the programme. One of those who has benefitted and done well is incoming SMU student Li Heng, who has a scholarship from the Home Affairs Ministry. He will be reading law with plans to serve in the civil service.
