Commuters, experts slam cab levy at IRs

Commuters and transport experts are up in arms over what they say is the indiscriminate manner in which taxi companies are applying location surcharges. Assistant Professor Terence Fan, who specialises in transport economics, said the surcharge benefited both IRs, since it meant a convenient stream of taxis for their guests.
