Temasek's new investment platform

SMU Associate Professor Melvyn Teo says SeaTown gives Temasek the chance to create its own hedge funds, have more control over liquidity and cut down on the fees paid to middlemen. Visiting Associate Professor Bernard Lee says the challenge lies in making a clear explanation to retail investors about the investment risk and return profiles which are often more complex than typical unit-trust investments.
