The eight winners of the S$1 million Lien i3 Challenge organised by the Lien Centre for Social Innovation at SMU were announced on Friday at the Social iCon, an international social innovation conference showcasing new ideas. Dr Thomas Menkhoff, practice associate professor of organisational behaviour and human resources and a judge for the Challenge says that more formal education about the power of social innovation can help stir up innovation in Asia, from the organisational angle.
