SMU law academic Eugene Tan comments on a wide range of issues surrounding a multi-religious society like Singapore, saying that the Maintenance of Religious Harmony Act (MRHA) 'reminds us how religion can be a source of friction, conflict and violence, and how important it is to keep religion and politics separate as far as possible'.
