Dot-coms riding a new wave
More than 200 start-ups have sprung up lately and seed funding from the Media Development Authority is one factor for the growth. Professor Wong Poh Kam, the director of NUS' Entrepreneurship Centre, said the cost of producing digital content - software and server costs - has come down dramatically. The project Famous Market Exchange or FAME by [SIS graduates] is one of the start-ups featured in the accompanying visuals.
