The Education Ministry says 40 to 50% of each polytechnic cohort will further their studies within five years of graduating from the polytechnic. One group will apply to the local universities ? NUS, NTU and SMU. But a check with private schools here shows that a growing number of polytechnic graduates are taking up degree programmes with them.
