SMU Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Professor Rajendra K. Srivastava said that, ?One way we can attract foreign professors is to get them to do doctorates while they are here, so that they will remain here for a few years to pursue their studies. They can then teach and help in building the research capabilities of the faculty, which I think is important if a school wants to boost its brand and image quickly.?
