[Singapore, 12 September 2014 (Friday)] – The Institute of Service Excellence at the Singapore Management University (ISES) (卓越服务研究院) today released the 2014 second quarter (Q2) Customer Satisfaction Index of Singapore (CSISG) results for the Transport & Logistics, Public Education, and Private Education sectors.

SMU has appointed Nobel Prize winner Professor Thomas J. Sargent as Distinguished Term Professor of Economics for a three-year term from Jan 1, 2015. He is known for his research on co-ordinating monetary and fiscal policy, stabilising inflation and fighting unemployment.

Singapore, 9 September 2014 (Tuesday) – The Singapore Management University (SMU) has appointed Professor Gerard George from the Imperial College London as Dean of the SMU Lee Kong Chian School of Business from 1 January 2015 for a five-year term.

[Singapore, 16 August 2014 (Saturday)] – More than 800 alumni and their families gathered at Campus Green in Singapore Management University (SMU) today to celebrate the first SMU Alumni Day.

Since its founding in 2000, 11 batches, or over 14,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students have passed through the halls of the University. The celebration today marks the gathering of all alumni from all cohorts to come together to rediscover SMU and relive some of the best years of their lives.

[Singapore, 13 August 2014 (Wednesday)] – Singapore Management University (SMU) welcomed its 15th cohort of 1,940 freshmen at its Convocation Ceremony held at Suntec Convention Centre today. Starting 18 August, the new cohort will pursue degree programmes in accountancy, business management, economics, information systems management, law and social science.
