Singapore, 17 September 2019 (Tuesday) – Singapore Management University’s (SMU) professional training arm, SMU Academy, and Straits Interactive today announced an end-to-end service to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to seamlessly achieve the Data Protection Trustmark (DPTM) certification from the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).

Known as ‘Trustmark Journey-as-a-Service’ (TJaaS), this new service offering provides a comprehensive roadmap to help Singapore companies achieve the DPTM requirements.  The scope of services includes:

SINGAPORE, 28 August 2019 (Wednesday) – Professor Lim Ee Peng and Associate Professor Zhu Feida from the School of Information Systems at Singapore Management University (SMU) have been conferred the PAKDD Distinguished Contributions Award and PAKDD Early Career Award respectively at the Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (PAKDD) 2019.

The Singapore Management University (SMU) welcomed its 20^th and largest cohort of 2383 freshmen on Friday, 16 August 2019.

Singapore, 15 August 2019 (Thursday) - Singapore Management University’s (SMU) Professor Annie Koh has been named the inaugural V3 Group Professor of Family Entrepreneurship.  The Professorship has been made possible by a generous endowed gift of $3 million from the V3 Group in July 2018.  It aims to support research and programmes on best practices in family entrepreneurship, such as placing emphasis on shared family values and effective succession planning; resource mobilisation to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in business families, as well as family wealth

Singapore, 31 July 2019 (Wednesday) - The Singapore Management University (SMU) is pleased to announce that Mr Lim Chee Onn (林子安) has been appointed Chancellor (名誉校长) of the University with effect from 1 August 2019. His appointment will be for a term of five years. He was previously the Pro-Chancellor (名誉副校长) of SMU.
