In a commentary, SMU Associate Professor of Law Eugene Tan discussed how the Budget 2024 is both pro-business and pro-social, as the slew of social measures do not negate the importance of a vibrant, thriving and sustainable economy to a shared future. He noted that the Budget 2024 is helping and boosting businesses, and believes businesses should welcome the Budget’s social measures as social and economic domains are two sides of the same coin.
