SMU alumnus Hwang Soon Hwan volunteered as a consultant for a non-profit organisation Conjunct Consulting while studying at SMU. During that time, he led a team to improve data management for a healthcare institution with 5,000 beneficiaries which left a deep impression on him. This experience as a consultant has allowed him to delve into consulting work and has also changed his career direction. Since July this year, he has been working as a professional consultant. He is also this year's recipient of the Mustafa Izzuddin Outstanding Social Science Graduate Prize.
