First Singaporean elected into IPCC is committed to mitigating climate change, Winston Chow shines internationally with a “green” passion

SMU Associate Professor of Urban Climate and Lee Kong Chian Fellow Winston Chow was on 27 July elected Co-Chair for Working Group II of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)’s Seventh Assessment Report (AR7) Cycle Bureau – making him the first Singaporean to take up the role. In an interview with Lianhe Zaobao, Assoc Prof Chow shares the motivation behind his dedication to mitigating climate change.
