Progress Singapore Party at the crossroads in search of relevance

In a commentary, SMU Associate Professor of Law Eugene Tan discussed how Leong Mun Wai’s appointment as secretary-general of the Progress Singapore Party (PSP) could herald a more confrontational style of politics. He shared about the rise and fall of Mr Leong and explained how Mr Leong's appeal could be a double-edged sword. Assoc Prof Tan also highlighted the need for the PSP to distinguish itself from the Workers' Party and define what it stands for to excite voters once again on the campaign trail when the next election comes round.
