In a commentary, SMU Deputy Dean of Education and Lee Kong Chian Professor of Operations Management Shantanu Bhattacharya, SMU Associate Provost of Teaching and Learning Innovation and Associate Professor of Operations Management (Practice) Lieven Demeester, and SMU Professor Emeritus of Operations Management Arnoud De Meyer discussed how Singapore can reap the benefits of mixed developments by integrating industrial and residential zones, and give the manufacturing sector a boost. They pointed out three questions that must be addressed for Singapore to shine as an early adopter of mixed developments and take the lead in urban manufacturing.
