SMU alumna Zhao Ruyan became aware of the challenges that charity organisations faced amidst the pandemic. She and a group of like-minded friends then started the "Skills for Good" initiative in 2020, an online platform that matched volunteers with charity organisations. Skills for Good has partnered with at least 30 organisations to date, and has also received support from the National Youth Council.
