In a commentary, SMU Professorial Research Fellow and Director of Centre for AI and Data Governance Mark Findlay took a look at the recent COVID-19 outbreak, and pointed out that we should avoid an over-reliance on tech solutions when incompatible human behaviours are at work. He hence believes COVID-19 control technology depends on the cooperation of people to be fully effective.
