The iTalent Solutions Map was developed through a collaboration between SkillsFuture Singapore and the International Trading Institute at SMU (ITI@SMU), with support from Enterprise Singapore. It identifies critical internationalisation skills that enterprises need to develop in their workforce in order to operate effectively overseas. A complementary initiative - the iSkills Talent Development Programme - has also been launched to teach employees internationalisation skills. The course was developed by ITI@SMU with input from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. SMU Provost Professor Timothy Clark said, “All stakeholders must work together to address the urgent need to help Singapore-based firms embrace internationalisation through human capital development.” The iTalent Solutions Map was launched by Mr Chee Hong Tat, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Education at SMU on 26 July.
