SMU introduces a new core curriculum to cultivate future-ready graduates

SMU will be introducing a new Core Curriculum – a common interdisciplinary and intellectual experience that every SMU student will go through in their journey through university life. The cornerstone of the curriculum will be collaborative, interactive learning exemplified by active learning, faculty-student interaction and the exchange of ideas. It will also expose students to experiential learning characterised by project-based learning, tackling of real problems and mentoring by faculty members and industry partners. Students are encouraged to think out of the box through this multi-disciplinary curriculum in order to develop their cognitive flexibility, judgment and decision-making, as part of building their readiness to handle multifaceted careers.
