SMU student Isabel Lee, who is the co-founder of An Acai Affair, launched her acai bowl business in December 2016 when she was only 20 years old. The business has since expanded last year with outlets in Bugis, Upper Thomson and Westgate. A fifth outlet will open this year at Jewel Changi Airport. She shared how her desire to avoid a regular office job spurred her to become an entrepreneur. She also expressed her excitement at running her business full-time when she graduates this year.
