SMU alumnus Roy'yani Abdul Razak commented on her motivation to be a lawyer, mentioning that "everything is about responsibility and trust”. She added, “I am thankful to have good grades. After my studies at Raffles Junior College, I was not sure what I wanted. When I was offered a place in law school, I took it as a calling and an opportunity to help the community.”
