SMU alumni Kenneth Mak and Mervin Soon started their own tuition centre while they were still studying at SMU. Seeing a great potential in the education sector as well as a gap in the number of tuition centres offering Science tuition, they decided to invest $3,000 each and founded “The Pique Lab” – which focuses on providing Science tuition for primary school students.
