Identify 'pain points' of living in unequal society

In a commentary, SMU Dean of Students and Professor of Sociology (Practice) Paulin Straughan opined that the traditional “Chinese, Malay, Indian and Others” model may no longer be relevant for the increasingly diverse Singapore society. She noted that the changes will have to start from the family level, with the challenge to expand its definition. At the same time, she proposed using empirical-based perspectives to identify and examine the differences and the pain points that exist in our unequal society.
