Singapore start-up invents device to make motorcycle helmets ‘smart’

Whyre is a Singapore-based startup responsible for the creation of Argon, an augmented reality device that aims to make ordinary helmets into “smart” helmets. As a former Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedic, Whyre’s chief business development officer and SMU postgraduate alumnus Glen Ong said he had responded to his fair share of motorcycle accidents, and also knew of friends who had gotten into one. As riders themselves, they are keenly aware of the high number of motorcyclists being involved in accidents and dying on the road.
