Working in Singapore after an MBA There

According to Henry Yeo, Head of SMU Postgraduate Career Services, alumni of the Lee Kong Chian School of Business are invited back to campus to attend MBA classes for free. This will provide current students with the opportunity to work with and engage with the alumni, having the latter play the role of mentors. He also noted that SMU alumni have increasingly been requesting for the CVs of SMU’s current students. Mr Yeo added that an important element of job searching in Singapore is the internship, which is a compulsory element of SMU’s MBA programme. “The intension [intention] is to ensure that our MBA students gain an opportunity to experience an industry or area they would like to pursue,” he said. Approximately 70 per cent of SMU’s MBA graduates work in Singapore when they finish the course and in a wide variety of industries.
