After graduation, SMU alumna Xue Ying Qi went on to further pursue her studies in the field of environmental and sustainable development in the United Kingdom before founding her start-up coffee business – Hook Coffee – together with her boyfriend. As a result of her studies, she was inspired to purchase only coffee beans based on fair trade and responsible farming practices.
