Asean needs a new priority cluster of e-services for integration boost

In a weekly column highlighting South-east Asian issues, SMU Professor of Law Locknie Hsu shared the findings of a study she conducted with her colleagues, Associate Professors of Law Pearlie Koh and Yip Man, which focused on identifying key legal barriers faced by businesses in Asean. Their research focused primarily on the areas of corporate, trade and investment, land use and dispute settlement barriers, and gaps in legal information. Their interim report published on Aug 3, presented policymakers with a number of preliminary recommendations and the areas of priority for an integration boost.
