SMU Centre for Applied Socio-Physical Analytics (CASA) is one of the 3 “Trans Labs” (Translational R&D for Application to Smart Nation) that the government will be funding, to help develop Singapore into a smart nation. Additionally, CASA has partnered the Health Promotion Board to design an app that will allow users to find out the nutritional content of different food items by taking a photo of the food item.
