SMU business and economics alumnus Michelle Leong said that her experience in her past projects in the University has enabled her to pick up new technical knowledge and take ownership of her own work streams, and given her the responsibility to lead others. She believed that the quantitative modules like econometrics and finance were essential in preparing her for the mental rigour necessary to work in the global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company Accenture. Getting the job was a dream come true, because she had always wanted a challenging career and to work in a team on projects.
