Project Rice, an organisation which collects and distributes rice to needy families, was started in 2008 by SMU’s Red Cross youth chapter. This year's Project Rice team is made up mostly of students from SMU, NUS and NTU, and will see 5,000 individuals from 1,250 families receiving $15 worth of items each, including household products, condiments and food.
