In his opening speech, Professor Srivastava said that as we mark the 25th anniversary of the Sino-Singapore diplomatic relations and partnerships, the year 2015 is also a significant time for both SMU and Fudan University. SMU marks its 15th anniversary, while Fudan marks 110 years since establishment, and 30 years since the restoration of its School of Management.
Professor Srivastava also highlighted that in resonance with the theme, innovation has always been part of SMU’s DNA, as SMU was meant to be different when it was conceptualised as the third university in Singapore. While being a young university, SMU is proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with internationally renowned universities such as Fudan University.
