Some 10,126 out of 13,656 graduates from SMU, NUS and NTU took part in the Joint Employment Survey of university graduates, which found that they are getting higher salaries and continuing to enjoy high employment rates. The median salary for the class of 2014 rose to $3,200, from $3,050 for the class of 2013, while the average salary was $3,333 from $3,229. The three universities also had a separate follow-up survey of 638 graduates from Architecture, Biomedical Science (Traditional Chinese Medicine), Law, Medicine and Pharmacy courses, which found that the overall employment rate of this group was almost 99 per cent. The median gross monthly pay and average salary for this group were $4,800 and $4,751 respectively.
