An editorial on constitutions featured SMU Assistant Professor of Law Maartje de Visser, who studies the various ways that countries approach the protection of their constitutions. In 2014, Assistant Prof de Visser also completed her book Constitutional Review in Europe – A Comparative Analysis, which studied constitutional review systems in 10 European states including France, Germany and the UK. She is currently expanding her research on constitutional courts to Asia.
