Drink, drank, drunk, drought?

In a special report on the trade-offs of the proposed alcohol curbs, SMU Associate Professor of Law Eugene Tan said that compared to the status quo, it was no wonder some felt that the laws were a disproportionate curb on personal liberty. Despite this, he felt that these curbs were long overdue and would put Singapore more in line with the rest of the world. On dormitories being gazetted as a public space, SMU Assistant Professor of Law Jack Lee said that the laws could discriminate against the less well-off too, as not everyone can afford to sit in a restaurant to drink beer.
