In a commentary on how today’s youth are spending increasing amounts of time communicating and interacting online, Daniel Maxwell raised SMU as an example of educational institutes that are utilising social media for learning. He also proposed that the time students spend using Facebook is actually time invested in the development of higher-level thinking skills which they will need to succeed in future.
