SMU School of Law was ranked number 17 in a list of the world’s top 50 law school buildings compiled by Best Choice Schools. It said that SMU’s Kwa Geok Choo Law Library, due to be completed in 2017, would be a “stunning accompaniment to a campus that stands as a bastion of modern architecture”. SMU School of Law Dean and Professor of Law Yeo Tiong Min said that the new library would be a key feature of the new School of Law being built, and would “take on a distinct architectural form reminiscent of a pearl”. SMU President Arnoud De Meyer added that “the SMU campus offers an open environment in the heart of Singapore”, and expressed his delight in having their efforts recognised.
