At the One Ocean Forum which aims to build a joint response system against China and Japan regarding boundary conflicts in the region, SMU Associate Professor of Law Basil C. Bitas explained the Singaporean position on maritime peace in the South China Sea. Although Associate Prof Bitas is not Singaporean, he has taught in Singapore for eight years.
