Ordinance has become a parallel & preferred legislative arrangement

In a blog post, Indian economist Professor Bibek Debroy wrote that he was interested when he came across SMU Assistant Professor of Law Shubhankar Dam’s book Presidential Legislation in India: The Law and Practice of Ordinances (Cambridge University Press, 2014). He said the book has data on the use of ordinances between 1952 and 2009 and focuses on Parliament. “This is not a book review,” he added, “Read the book.”
