In a commentary, SMU Associate Professor of Strategic Management Tan Wee Liang said that SMEs have the potential to create a more personal work place, foster closeness in working relations, and provide access to the decision-makers. To attract talent, SMEs should take steps to inform prospective employees about what the company has to offer, be good employers from the start, take on interns and trainees, and serve the community and society as talent nowadays look for meaning in the workplace.
