In an interview, SMU Associate Professor of Law and Nominated MP Eugene Tan shared his views on the factors contributing to racial harmony in Singapore, the role of bilingual education in racial integration, the government’s efforts in placing the Singaporean identity before ethnicity, the influx of immigrants, and some of the experiences Singapore has had handling race relations which could be of use to China.
