In an in-depth interview with Xinhuanet, SMU President Professor Arnoud De Meyer shared his views on what differentiates SMU from the other Singapore universities, the collaborations it has with Chinese universities and the recent joint forums with Fudan University and Tsinghua University. He also discussed other topics such as why SMU is attractive to international students, the competitiveness of SMU graduates in the job market, interdisciplinary research, as well as how Chinese university graduates can better prepare themselves for the job market.
