Singapore’s inflation at 4-year low in January

On the latest inflation forecast for January, SMU Assistant Professor of Finance (Education) Aurobindo Ghosh said: “The [all-inflation consumer price index] is 1.4 per cent, but at the same time, core inflation, stripping out accommodation and private transportation costs, has inched up to 2.2 per cent. Moving forward, internal forces including pass-through costs, rental increases, might actually show up more in prices."
