In a forum letter, Arnold Chua Chee Keong expressed that it was heartening to know that more assistance is being given to people with disabilities, such as through SMU's initiative to support students with disabilities. However, he noted that it is challenging for disabled people to remain employed for long because of factors such as communication problems, poor relationships with colleagues and social exclusion.
