Level of trusting others doesn't affect giving

Director of the Behavioural Sciences Institute at SMU and Professor of Psychology David Chan, who was the consultant for a survey commissioned by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre, said in October: "Happy people are more likely to give, but people who give also tend to become happier." The survey was cited in relation to a separate survey about the level of trust and giving among Singaporeans.
