According to the Global Talent Competitiveness Index, a joint research project conducted by the Human Capital Leadership Institute of Singapore and Swiss human resource consultancy firm Adecco, Singapore is ranked the second most competitive nation in the world when it comes to producing, attracting and retaining talent. In fact, it is the only Asian country in the top 20 of the rankings that cover 103 countries representing 86.3 per cent of the world’s population and 96.7 per cent of its gross domestic product. The index is expected to be published annually, at least for the next five years.
