SMU Innovation: How to innovate during turbulent times

SMU and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) partnered to organise the Inclusive Innovation Summit 2013, a platform that brought together luminaries from the corporate and education industry to crack the code of how to innovate during turbulent times. SMU Provost and Deputy President (Academic Affairs), Professor Rajendra K Srivastava described the partnership as a natural one. He said that SMU is able to aggregate the academic community, while CII is able to aggregate the corporate community; and both can bring their strengths together. SMU President Professor Arnoud De Meyer and Professor Srivastava joined the panel to discuss the innovation practices in Asia and the possibilities for companies to take advantage of the highly dynamic innovation environment. Professor De Meyer commented that the first task of any good innovator is to listen to feedback from the users of the product, system, process or service.
